Prime Minister Narendra Modi adopted an aggressive stance following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. Addressing a public meeting in Madhubani, Bihar, he declared that the terrorists would face punishment “bigger than they can imagine.”
The terrorist attack in the Besaran valley of Pahalgam has sent shockwaves across the nation. The assault resulted in numerous fatalities, including Navy Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, local Muslim youth Syed Adil Hussain Shah, and individuals from various states such as Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Gujarat, and Bihar.
Speaking on National Panchayati Raj Day, Prime Minister Modi expressed profound grief over the incident. He characterized the attack not merely as an assault on tourists but as “an attack on the soul of India.” He highlighted the government’s efforts to treat the injured and conveyed the nation’s solidarity with the affected families, noting that the shared grief and anger extended uniformly “from Kargil to Kanyakumari.”
Issuing a stern warning from the soil of Bihar, PM Modi addressed the terrorists and those who support them. He declared that those responsible for the attack would be given “punishment bigger than they can imagine.” He sent a clear message to the world that the collective willpower of 140 crore Indians “will break the back of the masters of terrorism,” adding a resolute vow: “We will pursue them to the ends of the earth.”
Following the attack, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has initiated a probe. The Army, CRPF, and Jammu & Kashmir Police have launched extensive search operations to track down the terrorists, with reports indicating an encounter in Udhampur.
PM Modi’s strong message is seen as having boosted the morale of the countrymen in their resolve to fight terrorism. It is considered a significant step in the ongoing struggle for peace and security in the region and the country.
